Welcome to Paladin. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our desktop application (the "Software").
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
We believe in minimal data collection. We want to be crystal clear about the information we intentionally do NOT access or store on our servers:
- Personal Media & Viewing Habits: We do not track, log, or store any information about the content you search for or stream using Paladin. What you watch is your business.
- Files on Your Device: The Software does not scan or access any personal files on your computer outside of its core functionality.
- Debrid Service Credentials: Your API keys and/or login information for third-party debrid services are stored securely and exclusively on your local device. This information is never transmitted to our servers.
2. Information We Collect
To improve our Software and fix issues, we may collect a limited amount of non-personally identifiable information:
- Anonymous Usage Analytics: We may collect anonymized data about how you interact with the Software, such as features used or settings configured. This helps us understand what is most useful to our users so we can improve the application. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you.
- Crash Reports: If the Software crashes, you may be prompted to send an anonymous crash report. These reports contain technical information, such as your operating system, app version, and the state of the app at the time of the crash. They do not contain personal data.
3. How We Use Your Information
The limited information we collect is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- To Provide and Maintain the Software: To ensure the app runs correctly on your device.
- To Improve the Software: We analyze usage patterns and crash reports to identify bugs, fix problems, and develop new features that our users will love.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information with any third parties for marketing purposes. We may share anonymized, aggregated data with third-party service providers for analytics and crash reporting (e.g., Sentry, Google Analytics) solely for the purpose of improving the Software.

We take your privacy seriously. As stated, sensitive information like your debrid service credentials is encrypted and stored locally on your machine. While no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, we implement industry-standard practices to protect the integrity of the Software.
6. Third-Party Services
Paladin relies on third-party debrid services to function. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of these services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you use.
7. Children's Privacy
Our Software is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children.
